A live recording of the first ever performance of the band Cosmic Cluster (formerly Dark Spaces). These four musicians have played together in numerous other ensembles, but this is the first time the four played together in a dedicated project. The hope was that this mostly improvisational show would establish a good vibe, and give these guys a reason to develop the project further.

They got more than they bargained for, and it is clear in the intensely creative nature of the music recorded live that night at Szimpla Kert, a popular "ruin pub" that has become nothing short of the second biggest tourist attraction in the Budapest nightlife. The crowd also got more than they bargained for.

Christopher is an experimental and improvising trombonist, originally from the U.S. who now lives in Budapest, Hungary.

After a long career of playing everything from jazz and blues to political hip-hop, he took an extended hiatus and began playing again in 2020, around the time he earned his PhD.
